Fantasy Fest 2019 | Key West, FL

Fantasy Fest is a costume festival which celebrated its 40th anniversary this year.

There's no Halloween parade in Key West, instead there's a week long mostly kinky style costume festival, which attracts thousands of people from everywhere!

Each year professional body paint artists come to Key West to show off their skills. So, if you wanna see some fantastic body painting or if you wanna get one this is a perfect time for it!

Most events take place along Duval Street, which is partially closed for traffic on Friday and Saturday for Fantasy Fest Street Fair and Duval Street Promenade.

List of events include (but there are many more to see):

Zombie Bike Ride – Hundreds of bicyclists dressed like zombies ride their bikes along U.S -1 to Duval Street;

Naughty Bike Ride – Unlike Zombie Bike Ride this one is a kinky and sexy bike ride where some nudity is allowed;

Heroes and Villains Run/Walk 5K – Dress up like a character from a comic book and try to come to a finish line first;

Kinky Carnival;

Tutu Tuesday - A true Key West Fantasy Fest tradition!!!! Walking Parade Bar Crawl followed by a party. Get out your tutu, grab a drink and join everyone for the tutu barhop;

Dante's Annual Halos & Horns Pool Party – This is a famous adult pool party you better not miss. Prepare to wait in line for 20 minutes or so, because this is a popular event. The earlier you come the more the more likely you'll get in sooner, because the line stops once the maximum capacity is reached;

Sloppy Joe's Annual Toga Party;

Beach Bunny Pool Party hosted by Southernmost Playboy Mansion (The Southernmost House) - This is very popular event, so it's advised to buy tickets online before event starts. Tickets won't be sold at the door.

Masquerade March – This is not a main Fantasy Fest Parade but it's definitely worth attending. It starts near the cemetery and continues through Simonton Street turning to Duval Street at Truman Avenue.

Smoking Tuna Homemade Bikini Contest – Hosted by Smokin Tuna Saloon this is rather fun than sexy bikini contest where bikinis are made from anything you can think of including food.

This festival is one of the things you will never forget and most people make it a tradition to come down to Key West for a festival each year!
