Hello Madam chair and distinguished members of the board.

My name is Donnie with Humboldt Freedom Coalition calling in with deep concerns regarding Agenda Item 9 on the consent calendar.

Firstly, we realize you used the consent calendar as a way to shield Ian Hoffman from scrutiny, as it indeed caught us by surprise the last two meetings but this is a learning experience for everyone involved, including the board and Hoffman your selected appointee.

The Board being, our elected officials and direct representation at the county level, are assigned the duty to appoint worthy officers.

It is equally the responsibility of you, our county leadership, to recognize when you've appointed an officer in error and work swiftly to replace them otherwise their  dereliction of duty falls directly unto the representatives who are responsible for their ongoing position with the county.

Ian Hoffman, in his last 4 Health Officers Reports fits this description precisely and you all as our county representatives.

Between the following article and video breakdown available on Humboldtfc.com

The first published last week last showing Ian to be so love drunk over C19 vaccines that he no longer can trust the science,

And the second, a video by Lost Coast Populist providing a detailed video breakdown of this week's Health Officer's Report,

Both just go to show that Hoffman has divorced himself from any credibility and so have you if you continue to use his fraudulent advice for policy decisions.

Ignoring the petitions of your constituents while working to shield an officer from the public scrutiny they deserve is clearly not behavior incumbent of public service. As our reprentatives you should openly invite the scrutiny of officers who's recommendations you use to predicate policy decisions. By sweeping agenda items predicated on Ian Hoffmans Health Officer's Report into the consent calendar it allows the board to skip mentioning the agenda items one by one and thereby confuse the public wishing to speak when exactly they can do so about the agenda item they wish to provide comment on.

If they don't raise their hands to provide comments on the consent calendar because perhaos they lack a deeper understanding of how board meetings can be executed, well their voice is effectively muted by this type of action.

Furthermore, Humboldt Freedom Coalition has received numerous complaints concerning the high tech nature of virtual board meetings being difficult if not impossible to access by some elderly constituents as well as those with inconsistent internet access, or none at all. The constituents who've shared complaints as well as those they represent have concerns they'd otherwise communicate in person but unfortunately their voices are consistently muted on a weekly basis by these unwarranted virtual meetings.

Yet another policy decision by you, our elected county representatives, based on the unwarranted recommendations of the health officer you appointed.
