Two men sentenced to federal prison for destroying police car in George Floyd protest
The two men conceded before to trick and block of law authorization during common problem
Two Pennsylvania men have been condemned to government jail after they were sentenced for annihilating and endeavoring to burn down a police vehicle during last year's fights over the homicide of George Floyd.
Da'Jon Lengyel, 24, of McKees Rocks was condemned Friday to 27 months in jail. Christopher West, 36, of Pittsburgh was requested to serve four years, getting additional time than Lengyel to some degree in view of his criminal history.
Recordings showed two men distinguished as the litigants bouncing around on the top of the vehicle during fights on May 30, 2020, in midtown Pittsburgh. They are seen with different agitators attempting to set a fire in the squad car. Investigators said the gathering put cardboard and paper into the traveler compartment and one touched off the material.

West actually deals with state indictments over charges that he took a news photographic artist's camera during the uproar. He recognized bad behavior in an extended discourse to the court.
"I know what I did wasn't right, and I need to serve discipline for it," West said. "It was imprudent. I followed the group. I ought to have been a pioneer, not an adherent."
The demise of Floyd,
after a
cop bowed on his neck during a capture last year in Minneapolis, set off racial equity dissents the country over. The official, Derek Chauvin, was condemned to 22 1/2 years in jail for homicide.
