Whitney Bjerken - Peachy Pie (Official Music Video)

I wrote this song earlier this year for my grandpa. His nickname for me was peachy pie. I sent him a video of me singing it to him when he was really sick. It means so much to me. He was so strong and he was such a big part of our lives. I miss him so much and I would do anything for one more hug. I cant put into words how much he meant to me. I hope you like it.

lyrics:
I remember holding your big strong hand
and walking down to where the water meets the sand
you spoke to me with words of wisdom and sage
and I listened even though I didn’t understand

walking all the dogs outside
watch the nascars on tv race on by
going out to dinners breakfast and lunch with this crazy family of mine

‘cause even when times get hard
we see strength in all of our eyes
though your body may be bruised and scraped and scarred
you’re still superman to peachy pie

wake up early so I’d always be on time
watch the sun come up on our early rides
twist and turns down the back roads
cruising through the countryside

I answer all your questions with yes and no
we talked about my days and how they go
you said that I’d forget those rides
but those are the moments I’m never letting go

‘cause even when times get hard
we see strength in all of our eyes
though your body may be bruised and scraped and scarred
you’re still superman to peachy pie

and now we face the hardest part
as you leave us to live above the sky
I will keep you forever in my heart
you’ll always be superman to peachy pie
