Hiking the Appalachian Trail at the Petites Gap Trailhead on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia

Decided to drive up to Petites Gap from Lynchburg Virginia for a hike. It was a tough hike up the side of a mountain that my old body found very difficult. I think got some scenic views from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I found out the Otter Creek campground is still closed for some reason. Sunday is not a good day to drive the Parkway when the fall leaves are turning as there was traffic and the overlooks were full.
