I get quite emotional in this one. I was trying to appeal to their humanity. They police are good people. They signed up to do good. They have whanau just like us. We need them on our side. But there is a line you must help them to come across. We worked on that the whole time. We had very different approaches and at times it was difficult to keep the emotions at bay. 18 months of solid restrictions, heartache, injustice, came out at times. Imperfect people fighting for freedom. But we had more gentle people behind us reminding us of our kaupapa. FREEDOM!!!
