Markeyan the violinist and my new brother, told me that he wanted to do something to help in the fight but he didn’t know what.
He wasn’t a lawyer, he wasn’t a politician, and he isn’t rich. So instead he recorded a version of our national anthem that sounded like it had a broken heart.
Like it was being played on the edge of democracy, as all that we loved about our country was preparing to fall into the abyss of a dictatorship.
And he nailed it. Online it’s going viral.
A few years ago most of us didn’t even know the words. Now just his tune played on his violin is making people here and overseas, cry.
But over here too, some orchestra, who he was supposed to be performing with, called him and said, I’m sorry Markeyan, but since you’ve taken a stance against Dan Andrews, we can’t be associated with you anymore.
Now Did they do that because they are afraid of a virus? . . No.
They did that because they are afraid of their government.
