Rottweiler Andrew Wants to Go for a Walk

See My Rottweiler going crazy with happiness, when I offer him to go for a walk :)

My Rottweiler's name is Andrew and he has been with me for almost 9 years now.

Andrew is a German Rottweiler that I rescued from the pet shelter. He managed to escape his first owners after 2 years of abuse, and was picked up by animal rescuers.

The minute I saw him in the kennel, he ran to me and started licking my hand, and I knew I have found my new best family and guard dog (this is after my previous Rottweiler passed away from old age).

Owning a Rottweiler (or Rotty, as they are sometimes are called) is not an easy job... They demand a lot of attention, shed a lot of hair, and usually are interested mainly in eating and sleeping. They choose when to show affection and when to get petted, and it is usually in most inconvenient time from you :)

However, having a well trained Rottweiler dog near you and your family can be the most satisfying experience as a pet owner. It is one of the best dog breeds in the world, and also the most kind and generous one. Most of the time they are just big clowns, and are very funny animals.

It is a shame people are using their ambition to make their owners happy against them, causing them to fight on purpose. So on our part, we always try to find a Rottweiler dog in need of a new home, and give him the life he or she deserve.
