La Galera 1936 Box Pressed Toro El Lector Cigar Review

This 6x54 box pressed stick features a dark cocoa satin finished wrapper with a firm pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and a rich plumb, cocoa and pepper aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful medium-full bodied smoke showing a raw straight tobacco and pepper through the long finish. The first third does get a touch smoother, losing the raw factor but remaining quite plain. Still it offers perfect construction, effortless draw and plumes of thick smoke. The 1/2 way point comes at a slow 40 minutes with solid ash drops, flavors slightly more complex adding a spicy cinnamon and a long full finish of the same. Ending at 1:30 the last third burned even slower, with no flavor shifts.
