Ugly 3 Vehicle Wreck, Only Minor Injuries, SWARTWOUT, October 26, 2021 - At approximately 7:55 pm on October 26, 2021, the driver of a white 1999 GMC Yukon was north-bound on FM-1988 South. As the driver approached the intersection of FM-3278, the driver of a red 2008 Nissan Frontier pulled off of 3278 and failed to yield to a south-bound red 2009 GMC pickup. The red GMC pickup, slammed into the front driver's side of the Nissan, bounced off the Nissan and slammed head on into the white GMC Yukon. The impact pushed the Yukon off the pavement into the grass. The Nissan and the GMC Pickup remained on the pavement. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Goodrich Volunteer Fire Department and Troopers Johnny Wilkerson and Ashlee White with the Texas Highway Patrol. Amazingly, there were no serious injuries. Two of the drivers were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital as a precautionary measure. The driver of the Nissan was cited for failure to yield and no driver's license. The GMC pickup was recovered by LakeView Wrecker, the Yukon was recovered by Texas Carco (both will be stored in Livingston), and the Nissan was recovered by Fawbush Wrecker and will be stored in Goodrich.
