This is part 1 of 2 parts on the Partagas #10 cigars. They are just that damn great of a SMOKE~~~!!! I first discovered the Partagas No 10's way back in the 1990's. These extra fine cigars are definitely what anyone would call a - "Premium" smoke. At 7.5 inches long this is not a cigar that you rush to smoke. You want to relax and enjoy every single puff. The Cuban Partagas Lusitania is the Partagas #10 Big Brother and boy is that a great cigar!

The Partagas story started in Havana, Cuba in 1845. Even before I was born~! This is a excellent handmade & hand rolled cigar. Today they are also handmade in the Dominican Republic. Many Cuban cigar makers moved some of the operations out of Cuba because of the silly American embargo from back in the 1960's. I can guarantee you that no damn politician has ever gone without a Cuban cigar since their stupid embargo, but many every day American citizen has been denied their right to smoke one. There are way around the the political embargo & many people have used these to smoke great Cuban cigars.

I myself have myself purchased and smoke cigars from Cuba and from their operations in S. America. I would say today places like the Dominican Republic make cigars 2nd to none. Even when compared to their Cuban brothers. The Partagas #10 is a smooth rich tasting cigar that you can enjoy anywhere. Sitting out relaxing in the evening or on a golf course with your friends. They come 10 to a box and today go for about $6.00 a stick or $60.00 a box.

When I retired many years ago I went on a six week driving trip from FL to OR and back. Sight seeing the nation and playing golf almost every other day. My go to cigar for that trip was the Partagas #10. For this trip I purchased 300+ of these extra fine cigars. That is (30) boxes - Plus~!

I played golf across the country.   Camping out at night in the desert and the mountains of Nevada.  My 4th of July stay was in Lake Tahoe.   Playing golf for a couple days and gambling.  Then a overnight drive to Bend, Oregon.   Where I played the beautiful great course of Pacific Dunes at the Bandon Dunes golf club.  From Oregon I drove Hwy 1 or the Pacific Coast Hwy all the way to San Diego, CA.  Playing golf all down the coast.   Stopping in Monterey, Ca for a couple days where 2 friends flew out to join me in playing golf.

We played Pebble Beach and Spanish Bay in one day.  I would highly recommend playing Spanish Bay.  It is a fantastic links style course along the Pacific ocean.  Our 2nd day we played the two courses at the closed Army base Fort Ord.   After dinner that  night we met up the next moring.  My friends flew back to Jax and I continued my trip south.  Playing golf along the way and smoking my Partagas # 10 cigars along the way.   To be continued....

This was a TRIP Of A Lifetime my friends~~~!!!
