Mario Voice Actor Wants to Voice Mario for as Long as He Can

In the recent Q&A session at Fan Expo Canada, veteran voice actor of the iconic Super Mario Charles Martinet had expressed interest in voicing the character for as long as he can. However, if he reaches the point in his life where he would not be able to carry on the role, he will ask Nintendo to find someone else to pass down the torch. Charles Martinet has been voicing Mario, since the early to mid 90s, and has risen in fame in 1996 at the launch of the popular Nintendo 64 for game “Super Mario 64” including in other titles from both the main and spin-off series like Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, and many more. Even though he will not be voicing the character in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie by Illumination Entertainment scheduled to release in 2022, he will be making a cameo appearance voicing other characters in the film.
