- On average 330 people are missing or murdered in national parks every year. Only a very few generate national headlines. Why is that?

- 95% of deaths in national parks are accidental. 05% of national park deaths are intentional. Homicides account for about 17 people each year, as a rough average. Why don't we hear about these seventeen people like we did Gabrielle Petito? Many factors could be at play here, including a lack of details on the Internet, a lack of details on the people who went to the parks, or perhaps those people didn't have many friends who cared about them. Nonetheless, it brings to attention that this is a bigger problem than anyone even realizes.

- Let's not forget the hundreds of thousands of children who come up missing every single year, whether in national parks or anywhere, for that matter. Human trafficking is a real thing, and UFO abductions could also be as well.
