The Problem with the Gap Theory

Many people, and unfortunately many professing Christians, have bought into the argument that the world is billions of years old. They have trusted the scientists and the secular textbooks instead of the Bible. Therefore they have invented all kinds of theological interpretations that fit millions and billions of years into the Bible instead of taking the Bible as truth.

The Gap theory is one of those that conveniently tries to justify fitting millions and billions of years between the first two verses of the first chapter of Genesis.

This lecture will point out the various theological problems associated with this theory. Come along on the journey and "mind the gap".
