South Yemen, officially the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen (Arabic: جمهورية اليمن الديمقراطية الشعبية‎ ; Jumhūriyat al-Yaman ad-Dīmuqrāṭīyah ash-Sha'bīyah), also referred to as Democratic Yemen or Yemen (Aden), was a socialist country that existed from 1967 to 1990 in the Middle East.
National Anthem of South Yemen was written by Abdollah Abdolwahâb Noman and composed by ʾAyub Ṭâreš. During its usage by South Yemen, the title was "National Anthem of People's Democratic Republic of Yemen" (Arabic: النشيد الوطني لجمهورية اليمن الديمقراطية الشعبية‎, romanized: n-Našid al-Waṭane al-Jomhuriyat l-Yaman d-Dimoqrâṭiya š-Šaʿbiya).

Former anthem of the South Yemen became the anthem of the whole country when North and South Yemen merged in 1990.
