Kafie 1901 Don Fernando Maduro V Sixty Cigar Review

This 5x60 stick features a dark chocolate firmly but lightly packed wrapper with an oily satin feel, mottling throughout, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and pungent rich musty cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plumes of full bodied rich smoke showing flavors of a sweet earth but dominated by a huge pepper and spice blast lasting through a long finish. The first third adds a caramel and coffee to the mix while the body comes down to medium-full and the pepper dies down a good bit on the finish. The 1/2 way point comes at a slow 45 minutes with flavors going to a creamy smooth milk chocolate and light coffee, both lasting through the long finish. Ending at 1:10 the last third switches things up again with a strong coffee on the draw followed by a cocoa and pepper on the finish with a medium strength kick.
