The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall, the sequel to Arena, was released in 1996. Simply saying this is a vast game is really not doing it any justice. This landscape is SO vast and SO open that it took 15 years later for Minecraft to come along to create a larger landscape. This is a buggy game so SAVE OFTEN!!!

This video takes you through Character creation, Privateer's Hold, the quest to cure latent lycanthropy and the meeting with Lady Brisienna.

Character Creation:
In this video, I created a custom class called a Renegade and created a character that was mostly a warrior/melee type. Because I plan to get bitten by a werewolf, I did not take certain stats above 60 (Strength, Agility, Speed and Endurance) since being a werewolf gives me a boost of 40 points to each.

Privateer's Hold:
A decently large dungeon so if you want to explore, there will be plenty to find. It is, however, very easy to get lost. Like most dungeons in Daggerfall, many of the hallways look the same and that can be very disorienting. If you want to know the most direct route out, just follow the video.

Lycanthropy:
I got a letter from a werewolf hunter who claimed that I had some sort of dormant version of the disease. If you take on the quest, you can cure it by passing the disease on to a person who has it in their bloodline. When I found out it was a small child, I abandoned the quest. Let them send their hunters.

Lady Brisienna:
This is the fist part of the main quest storyline, it's mostly to just gather some information on who the main players are. If you don't meet with her then she'll send another invitation and eventually stop trying to meet with you. If you don't meet with her at all, I believe the main quest ends here (although I could be wrong).

Enjoy!
