Shell Beach Pelican Saved From Fishing Line

Info from Licensor: “After returning from a fishing trip we were filming, a fisherman was struggling with a pelican that tried to eat the shrimp he was using for bait. I didn’t want the pelican to fly off with the line attached since it could have caused him to drown himself. I was able to grab him by the beak and secure his wings with my legs so that he wouldn’t hurt himself or myself. I was able to safely remove the bait and release him unharmed. Pelicans have a tendency to be scavengers and try to take advantage of what they think are easy meals from fisherman. I’m glad we were able to save this one.”
