The Saar Protectorate (German: Saarprotektorat; French: Protectorat de la Sarre) officially Saarland (French: Sarre) was a protectorate (1946–1957) partitioned from Germany after its defeat in World War II; it was administered by the French Republic. Saar joined West Germany (as Saarland) in 1957.

"Das Saarlandlied (Saarland)" "English: The Saarland Tune" was the national anthem of the Saar Protecterate from 1947 to 1957.
