An evacuation order has been issued after a wildfire broke out near Watsonville in Santa Cruz county in California on Friday (October 15).
The wildland fire that quickly grew to 150 acres was sparked by a prescribed burn earlier in the day.
Cal Fire's unit said the planned 20-acre burn was necessary "to reduce fuel accumulation and restore and enhance grassland."
