Australia: Increased police presence in Melbourne in anticipation of protests against mandatory vaccines

Military-style police vehicles can be seen parked in the streets while police patrol parks, arresting people who do not comply with coronavirus restrictions.

Protesters against the blockade and vaccination had planned large rallies in Melbourne on Saturday, but were thwarted mostly by city police patrols.

As of Friday, employees on Victoria's list of authorized workers - which includes basic services and many other businesses - must get their first vaccine and be fully vaccinated by November 26th.
