Lancer Brigade Commander Col. Chung sits down with Medal of Honor Recipient MSG (R) Leroy Petry. Chung and Petry take some time to reminisce about their time in Ranger Regiment, the importance of proper inventory accountability and the mission that Leroy Petry has now in supporting his fellow Soldiers. He may describe himself as a common man who did an uncommon thing, but at Lancer Brigade we believe he is far from Common. Petry became the second recent living recipient of the medal for the war in Afghanistan in 2011 when he received the award from U.S. President Barack Obama. Opting to reenlist in spite of his injury, Petry remained on active duty in the U.S. Army until his retirement on 29 July 2014. 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team is excited to talk to leaders who have achieved excellence in their career fields.
