Three Gorges Dam is under tremendous stress, as flood waters pour into the reservoir from the northwest. There are several reports of the emergency spillways suddenly flooding from emergency releases to reduce the load. No one downstream from the dams are getting any warning, implying these releases are unplanned and due to dire conditions.
