President John Adams, in 1798, pushed for the enactment of the Sedition Act. The Act made it a crime to “write, print, utter or publish … any false, scandalous and malicious writing … against the government of the United States … with the intent to defame the said government … or to bring [it] … into contempt or disrepute … or to excite against [it] … the hatred of the good people of the United States ….”

In other words, you could not speak out against the government in any critical way without being subject to criminal prosecution.

No dissent was allowed by Adams.

Much like Biden and his crew.

Jefferson defeated Adams for the presidency in the election of 1800.

Jefferson’s victory was partly a result of Adam’s suppression of free speech.

This election became known as the Revolution of 1800.

The next U. S. midterm election will be known as the Revolution of 2022.
