Florida Cop And Motorist Jumped To Safety As Car Crashes Into Stopped SUV On Interstate

This footage shows a Florida police officer and a motorist jumping to safety as a car crashes into a stopped SUV on an interstate.

The footage, which appears to have been shot from a police vehicle dashcam, shows a police officer talking with a motorist on the interstate as cars go whizzing by.

The noise of screeching tyres suddenly rings out shortly before a large pickup truck enters the frame and hits the stopped SUV at speed.

The motorist and the police officer flee for their lives, with only the motorist suffering minor injuries.

The incident took place on the I-95 interstate with the Florida Highway Patrol for West Palm Beach sharing the footage on social media, with them saying: "The driver that caused this crash failed to stop and render aide to those involved.

"Luckily the motorist suffered minor injuries and the Trooper was unharmed. Please always stop to check on others when involved in a crash in case of injuries."
