This is a capture of me playing the arcade version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo online through The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection for the Switch. I'm Mike.

The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection just came out on Switch and I'm simply overjoyed about that. When Ultra Street Fighter II released on the Switch last year I had a ton of excitement about playing Street Fighter II online for the first time, but after a while, my enjoyment of the game soured due to the piss-poor connection of most matches and the broken nature of Violent Ken, Evil Ryu and Akuma. Also, the speed setting was a little too slow for my liking.

As some people probably noticed, I didn't post any Ultra Street Fighter footage for the past couple of months because I just got tired of the game's bullshit. I don't regret buying the game or playing it, especially since so many of you ended up watching my footage. But now that the 30th Anniversary Collection is out, I'm going to resume posting online matches, only this time, I don't have to deal with broken characters!

Unfortunately, because this is the Switch, there is still rampant lag online, so that's a major issue. It's causing me to mess up Dragon Punches and whatnot. I don't know if there is anything Capcom or Nintendo can do to fix it, but I'd really appreciate it if they would, especially since Nintendo intends to charge money for its laggy network.

Anyway, what's really nice about this collection is that it features ports of every arcade version of Street Fighter II, with two of them specifically having online multiplayer: Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting and Super Street Fighter II Turbo. I'll be randomly alternating between the two versions as I post online matches.

With this video I've selected my best matches from the first day of playing this game online. This game definitely feels way more balanced than Ultra Street Fighter, and I like the default speed setting as well. Enjoy the footage.

Recorded with the Elgato Game Capture HD60 and the Switch's HDMI cable at native 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. I'm using a Real Arcade Pro V Hayabusa joystick.
