Originally our verses were written to the BLACK SHEEP instrumental that German rap/spoken word artist PGA absolutely annihilated. I thought he had delivered such an exceptional solo piece of conscious artwork that I was inclined to reverse engineer the beat and keep that classic as an exclusive. The challenge was with keeping the song similar key, vibe and tempo. It was a gruelling process of eliminating what didn't work and I took a less is more approach.

As you may know the BLACK SHEEP beat is very busy and quite saturated with a bunch of high bells.

This piece was a real labour of frustration as my production files would continually get corrupted and crash due to one old free plugin instrument I used for the melody. I also found one of my verses particularly difficult to record. It was a big lesson in patience and tested my flow state and resolve to the max.
