Robert F Kennedy Jr on the Merck Vioxx Lawsuit

It is extimated that Vioxx caused 100,000 heart attacks, 35% fatal. An FDA scientist testified in Congress that he tried to warn his superiors at the FDA about the heart attack risk from Vioxx but they did everything they could do to squelch the data from becomming public. Merck settled the lawsuit for nearly $5 billion.
