Derek LeBlanc - Kids SAFE Foundation

This week on the Practical Training Podcast we sat down with Mr. Derek LeBlanc of Kids SAFE Foundation.

Derek started this foundation to introduce firearms and firearms safety to children as young as seven years old.

The SAFE moniker in Kids SAFE stands for Safety Around Firearms Education and he is certainly on the front lines teaching this stuff.

Since 2016, Derek, and the Kids SAFE Foundation have trained over 22,000 kids in 5 states. This is truly impressive and a big undertaking that will only grow from here!

Derek's goal is to get this information in front of as many kids as he can to stop the 8-9 daily firearms-related deaths in children.

Derek's three fundamentals that he presents to his students:

Safety.
Don't be fearful.
Civic Responsibility: We have a responsibility to defend the Second Amendment and understand the importance of the Republic.
