Have you thought about the American Dream?

Have you dreamed of better and can see it so clearly that it keeps you awake at night wondering what it’s going to take to get there?

What is your definition of success?

We had a lake cottage.

Believe me when I say it was nothing fancy.

I remember dad and grandpa took out the bath tub so they could crawl under the floor to jack it up in sagging places as to not stumble in the dark or in a drunk.

I couldn’t wait until the weekend arrived or our long summer break to get there.

I wasn’t thinking about the American Dream, I was living it.

My folks scrimped on everything to make sure they could enjoy the Kelly Lake Cottage.

We shared it with everyone and everyone shared what they brought along for those happenings.

There is a way to get back there, but there is no way to get there divided… #dbrn
