"Turn Key" pt. 1

Birds have always lead the way into and out of "The Outside". They hold the keys, yet at the same time are the lock and are very selective of who gets to enter into this whimsical world. Soaring high above us they are able to select the very special few from a vantage point many of us couldn't possibly grasp. I have always found birds fascinating, which is why they are heavily featured in my work. This painting is part of a diptych so stay tuned for part 2...
