How to make Bourbon BBQ Sauce | Easy, Basic and Delicious Recipe

BOURBON BBQ SAUCE RECIPE
Bourbon is a staple food item in any good Kentuckian's home. A bourbon BBQ sauce is a close second! Before we get started . . . make sure you are using a really high-quality bourbon. The better the quality the better the flavors will hold up during the cooking process.

Ingredients:
- Salted Butter - 2 tbsp
- Diced Yellow Onion - 1 Small
- Crushed Garlic - 6 Cloves
- Woodford Reserve Bourbon - 1 cup
- Ketchup - 6 cups
- Water - 2 cups
- Tomato Paste - 6 oz
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 1/2 cup
- Hot Sauce - 2 tbsp
- Worcestershire - 1/4 cup
- Brown Sugar - 2 cup
- Red Pepper Flakes - 1 tsp
- Salt - 2 tbsp
- Black Pepper - 1 tsp
- Nutmeg - 1 tsp
- Paprika - 1 tbsp
- Cumin - 1 tsp
- All Spice - 1tsp
- Add as much water as you like to get the desired consistency.

Directions:

1. Slice one medium onion.
2. Dice six cloves of garlic.
1. Melt butter on medium heat in stockpot and sweat onions. About 5 minutes.
2. Add garlic and saute 1 - 2 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low.
3. Add the remaining ingredients into the stockpot and stir.
4. Let the sauce cook on medium-low heat for 20 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
5. When finished pour the sauce into a blender or food processor and mix thoroughly.
6. Store in an air-tight mason jar and refrigerate.
