Trumpeter Swan :

Trumpeter Swans are our largest native waterfowl, measuring up to 6 feet in length and weighing more than 25 pounds - about double the size of a Tundra Swan. A sluggish takeoff along a 100-yard runway is required to get airborne. With a delicate neck and snowy-white plumage, this once-endangered, now-recovering bird is as lovely as any swan. They nest in remote wetlands in Alaska, Canada, and the northwest United States, and spend the winter on ice-free coastal and inland lakes.
