France: "Yellow Vests" protest in Paris against COVID-19 pass and mandatory vaccination - 25.09.2021

Hundreds of protesters, including 'Yellow Vests,' rallied in the streets of Paris to denounce the health pass and compulsory vaccination, Saturday.

Protesters marched, singing the national anthem and holding signs bearing messages such as, 'Macron, your Pass, we don't want it.'

According to local media, several other cities had the same protests, with an estimate of 60,000 people mobilised throughout France.

"SOT, Patrick, Yellow Vest member (French): "The health pass is something that is authoritative, which puts a lot of people, people who are not vaccinated, apart from everything, because you cannot do anything, not even go to the library. You need the health pass; you can't sit down to have a coffee. It's really something authoritarian with a connotation of fascism even."

SOT, Stephanie, Protester (French): “The health pass is not at all health, it is a vaccine pass and it's political, it's a rights pass, that is to say, an object of submission: ‘Either you submit to the will of the State, or you no longer have any rights.’ We are going to become like the Chinese Communist Party, really a dictatorship.”

SOT, Soraya, Yellow Vest member (French): "I have a fifteen-year-old daughter who has been canvassed in her class, like other students, so that they can do an internship, they must be vaccinated. So, they impose the vaccine on our children without our knowledge. It's true that I learned of it in a letter, but I am opposed to it, I am opposed, I am the mother, I am responsible for my child, I am responsible for my child, and therefore I decide for my child."

The French government implemented a health pass giving special privileges to vaccinated citizens to encourage vaccination against COVID-19 and to stop the spread of the virus.

Hunderte von Demonstranten, darunter auch "Gelbwesten", zogen am Samstag durch die Straßen von Paris, um gegen den Gesundheitspass und die Impfpflicht zu protestieren.

Die Demonstranten sangen die Nationalhymne und hielten Schilder mit Botschaften wie "Macron, dein Pass, wir wollen ihn nicht" in die Höhe.

Lokalen Medien zufolge gab es in mehreren anderen Städten die gleichen Proteste, wobei schätzungsweise 60.000 Menschen in ganz Frankreich mobilisiert wurden.

"SOT, Patrick, Mitglied der Gelbwesten (französisch): "Der Gesundheitspass ist etwas Entscheidendes, das viele Menschen, die nicht geimpft sind, von allem ausschließt, weil man nichts tun kann, nicht einmal in die Bibliothek gehen. Man braucht den Gesundheitspass, man kann sich nicht hinsetzen, um einen Kaffee zu trinken. Das hat wirklich etwas Autoritäres, das sogar an Faschismus erinnert."

SOT, Stephanie, Demonstrantin (Französisch): "Der Gesundheitspass ist überhaupt nicht gesund, er ist ein Impfpass und er ist politisch, er ist ein Rechtepass, d.h. ein Objekt der Unterwerfung: 'Entweder du unterwirfst dich dem Willen des Staates, oder du hast keine Rechte mehr.' Wir werden wie die Kommunistische Partei Chinas werden, eine echte Diktatur.

SOT, Soraya, Mitglied der Gelbwesten (Französisch): "Ich habe eine fünfzehnjährige Tochter, die in ihrer Klasse, wie andere Schüler auch, geimpft werden muss, damit sie ein Praktikum machen kann. Sie zwingen also unseren Kindern den Impfstoff auf, ohne dass wir davon wissen. Es stimmt, dass ich davon in einem Brief erfahren habe, aber ich bin dagegen, ich bin dagegen, ich bin die Mutter, ich bin verantwortlich für mein Kind, ich bin verantwortlich für mein Kind, und deshalb entscheide ich für mein Kind".

Die französische Regierung hat einen Gesundheitspass eingeführt, der geimpften Bürgern besondere Privilegien einräumt, um die Impfung gegen COVID-19 zu fördern und die Ausbreitung des Virus zu stoppen.
