The 9/11 Free Fall

I always had an issue with the final reports of why the Twin Towers collapsed. They claimed it was due to fires, which weakened supporting WTC steel floor trusses and columns. Then gravity takes over and EACH floor pancakes with the one below.

You may say "so?". How long in seconds, would it take to break welds, beams and bolts for each floor? 2, 1, 1/2 seconds? Even at .5 seconds @ 110 floors, we get over 50 secs. total collapse time. The actual collapse time was according to *NIST, was 11 secs (WTC1) and 9 secs. (WTC2).
