Tatra Mountains

Zakopane is a resort town in southern Poland at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. It is popular with winter sports, mountaineering and mountain hiking enthusiasts. The cable car takes tourists to the summits of Kasprowy Wierch and Gubalowka. The nearby ski resorts offer breathtaking mountain views. The city is also famous for the wooden chalets of the early 20th century, which have become a symbol of Zakopane architecture.
