Shen Yun, 'The Best of the Best,’ Says Chairman

Rudy Revak has been waiting for Shen Yun’s return since the pandemic began. He bought tickets as soon as he heard Shen Yun was coming back to Texas.

"It's phenomenal," said Revak who is the founder of Global Ventures Partners. He saw the performance in Houston, Texas, on September 19 with his wife and his friends. "We enjoyed it very much."

"I think if you've never seen it before, it's quite amazing to watch how the performers are so synchronized and so beautifully performed together," he added. Revak was astounded by the performers’ artistic skills. "It's just amazing and when they did the performance with the sleeves, and how they do all of that and keep it so organized and perfect timing-wise is just amazing."

The premiere Chinese classical dance company, Shen Yun, is touring the world again. With an all-new dance and music program.

"The stories were very excellent, and especially the fact that the two people went up to explain each one of them. I think that was outstanding," but one thing that stood out to him was the message behind the stories.

"I think it was tremendous; I think it was outstanding," said Revak. "And I can understand why the Chinese government hates it, because of course, they hate the idea of spirituality, and that there is a creator. And so the whole show, being geared to that, was very, very interesting and very much appreciated."

Spiritual Resonance
Born in Germany and the son of World War II refugees, Revak is the chairman and founder of five global companies. He is also an author.

He says, as a spiritual person, he appreciates Shen Yun for showing the spiritual foundation of ancient China. And how that perspective is currently being persecuted under the communist regime.

"I’m very spiritual, I'm a Christian. And therefore, of course, I believe very strongly that there is a creator. And so to watch this show was very encouraging," he said. "I also know how negative the Chinese government is and how they are treating their own people. And I think that one scene about the organ harvesting and the anti-religious scene that was in there was very, very, very aware. And I don't think people in today's world know that that is still going on today. It's not something that was 100 years ago, or 50 years ago; it's going on today."

Shen Yun travels the world with the mission to revive China’s ancient culture. But the show cannot be seen in China.

He hopes that everyone will come and see the performance and he applauds the production.

"I would say it was a very unique, different show, that you have to come and see for yourself because it can't be described by someone unless you see it," Revak added.

"And the dancing is so phenomenal, that anyone who enjoys dancing or even doesn't think of themselves as having a dancing background, would love to see this because it's so well done. And anytime you see people that are so professional, and they do their talent so well. It's always great to watch the best of the best."

Shen Yun performances will continue in Texas through September 26th, with its next stop in McAllen.
