a beautiful Seal On The Beach

First to recognize the importance of seals as our very first cousins; they are unique as any other known animal. They are not only found on beaches but in estuaries and along the benthic beds of the ocean floor. This benthic layer is made up of fossils of ancient marine reptiles like the iguanodon and the megalosaurus. The most interesting facts about seal skin is that it is actually tougher than chicken skin or duck skin yet bears no resemblance to them.

One very interesting fact about seals is their anatomy that consist of a head with a thick neck, a thick chest, and two large flippers with powerful claws, which is what enables them to swim powerfully and to hunt so efficiently in the open sea. A well-developed seal's mouth consists of a shallow groove that allows the seal to bite powerfully and at the same time prevent it from sliding down the slippery throat of the sea. Seals have the ability to keep their head upright even though submerged. It has been observed that when a seal is swimming and chasing prey they raise their head to see behind them to detect potential prey through its dark, shadowy movement and headlamps. Their teeth are used to grind or shred food, apart from sharp claws for catching fish.
