The Holy Spirit Gave Me This Song, My Heart

I am no singer. I'll get that out of the way right now. But, I still wanted to share this song and maybe someone else can sing it and someone else and write music to it.

In November of 2020, I was lying in bed trying to take a nap in the afternoon, which I never do. I was just sooo tired. I tossed and turned and received 2 text messages while trying to sleep. I'm just the type of person that once I'm up, I'm up. Naps are extremely rare, but I couldn't even see straight... I was so tired. After the 2nd text message and toss, I heard "Write a song."

I thought, What do you mean, Write a song? And then, the words just started pouring into my head. I reached over and grabbed my phone, which was on the nightstand next to the bed, opened a "Keep" App on my phone where I can type notes and started writing down all the words as they came to me. Had it all in a few minutes of texting it all down on my phone as it poured in. I knew the words. I knew the melody. I can hear the music in the background, the instruments, the tempo, the beats, but I am also no musician and cannot make the music to this song, either.

Here it is. The Holy Spirit gave me this song.
