This Bitcoin Opportunity Is Massive (MASSIVE ALLOCATION) - Kevin O'Leary

Kevin stated that he didn't think Bitcoin is ever going to be centralized, but it will be regulated. He added that he believed in it as an asset. He owned it and would not trade it or sell his coin.

"It's to be the building I used to own in Boston that I sold for cash. It's something I think over time will beat the indices and hedge against inflation."

Kevin compared Bitcoin to gold but believed it would perform better than gold.

Kevin revealed that many institutions are interested in Bitcoin, but they aren't ready to declare their players yet. Also, they want to figure out what the rules are and when the regulator approves. He said:

"If you're able to get the institutions just a 1% allocation, that's a trillion dollars worth of a million-dollar Bitcoin. That's why I'm in the game. The opportunities are there. You've got to be on the bandwagon to solve problems for them."

Kevin considered crypto as the 12th sector of the S&P. So, he is investing in crypto as if it was the 12th sector. The reason, he stated, was because he was able to get his compliance department to agree on certain coins, but they have no business in buying Bitcoin.

Kevin stated that he has Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and USDC. But to get into crypto fully, he needed multiple positions because he was mandated to diversify. His crypto portfolio is at 3% now but he wishes to increase it to 7% by year-end. But his crypto investing style will be different from that of the pioneers for some reasons:

One, he has to get his internal compliance officer to agree on that. Two, he has to get his external auditor to sign the audited statements that then turn into reports to the regulator in every jurisdiction that he participated in.
