Trophy Northern Pike and Catfish at Navajo Lake, NM ! - Spoonplugging

This is the first time that I fished on Navajo Lake in New Mexico. This is a Highland Reservoir which means steep, deep and rocky. There is very little productive structure so the only way to catch fish is to find the dirt and boy; I hit Pay Dirt! I scored 2 New Mexico Master Angler Awards on this trip, one for the 38" Northern Pike and the other for the 29" Blue Catfish which are considered Trophy sized fish in NM. What a blast I had and my success was contributed to learning and following Spoonplugging principals and going by the Green Book! Thank you again Buck Perry, for the fishing knowledge!
