China will mine the moon for a rare element to use in nuclear fusion but doing so may violate international law. In this video we answer the following:
1) Is a new space race between China-US on?
2) Can/Will China-Russia cooperation in space be successful?
3) How accessing Helium-3 be a game-changer?
4) Could space race trigger military confrontation between US- China/Russia?
One thing is sure: The first race was basically about reaching space itself in short-lived missions. However, today race could be about mankind establishing a long-lasting physical presence in space and, more worryingly, the militarization of earth’s periphery.
