Having Kids is about Joy – A response to Vox

Having kids is about joy, which I feel is obvious, but apparently I still needed to make a response to Vox. The original video tries to say that having kids makes you less happy, and then focuses on connecting a ‘successful life’ with financial success. Both of these things seemed to be deceptively framed, but even the Vox host realizes that having kids is all about that connection, that relationship, and joy. To quote CS Lewis: “The homemaker has the ultimate career. All other careers exist for one purpose only - and that is to support the ultimate career.”
