The World, evolving as we see it.

In any system of power the powerful decide on who will live and who will die, who will prosper and what group will be attenuated, who will acquire wealth and who will have it appropriated, which ideas are acceptable and transferable and what thoughts are criminal. Ideas transferred between generations are a general definition of culture.
Renormalization of the abnormal
At this stage the new normal ideas are introduced that conflict with the traditional values. The goal is to produce instability on the society and render it incapable of responding. Neutralization of opposition by use of memes. Destruction of stable groups such as the nuclear family, news institutions and religious groups. The judicial system must be corrupted. Ideas that are contradictory and are opposed to the interests of the society must become mainstream. Inflation and racial atomization are powerful tools. Minimization of the majority and denying a rational values system, praising mediocrity while removing the veneration of acquired skill and talent, considering merit synonymous with privilege.
A corrupted society no longer grows healthily, and cannot replace loses due to death. Like a garden growing in a toxic environment it withers. Such a low intensity warfare saps the ability of a country, as talent emigrates to more fertile areas.
Weaponization of culture
Use of different sectors against each other, bourgeois against the working class, arbitrarily created distinctions (tutsi or hutu) rich against poor, and racial distinctions. The distinctions created are now utilized to conduct operations and reform society. Whereas in the previous level distinctions merely created unrest and unhappiness, genuine alteration of societal structures is achieved. This is considered as progress. Technically at this stage the activities are legal under the local laws and can be achieved non-governmentally. Distinct groups develop, and denial of service occurs as individuals do not wish their perceived opposition to gain advantage. The stage below can clearly be seen as the books, movies, plays and music reflect the new order. Previous heroes and narratives are dismantled. It becomes impossible to voice dissent due to speech regulations. An individual must state that they will die for a cause, while leaving the method vague. The idea that they could state they would kill anyone who takes away their rights, or kill to protect ideas seems at best old fashioned.

Enforcement of New Regulations
At this stage there is a transition as the government regulations are being introduced to act under a sham of legitimacy. At this stage the previous stage activities have begun to solidify, congeal and harden. Retraining and re-education of organizations to be congruent with the altered states is common place. All workers are required to comply or face sanctions on their activities. Restrictions on movement, internal passports, availability of items and ideas becomes problematic. Individuals do not trust each other, money is restricted, weapons possession laws and restrictions are extreme and individuals are not independent from the state. The use of restrictions and legal activities that would previously been inconceivable are routinely contemplated. Opposition still exists, though most do not have the resources to comply.

Politicization
At the politicization stage there is a movement to control the political apparatus of the state.
Initially there may be different parties and these now merge to be indistinguishable. As political parties look at the power and instruments of control that they can wield few can stand up to them. Show trials and destruction of public figures occurs. The goal at this stage is to deny any opposition to the party. While the previous stage utilized existing laws in the context of the legal government, the politicization stage attempts to restructure the political system. First past the post voting is usually replaced with a mixed member and a proportional system, so that extreme groups can be included. Political violence is routine and mercurial. Previous tyrants are great leaders, freedoms are considered dangerous or deluded and have to be given up for the common good. Voter fraud and fake news, ballots and gerrymandering are commonplace. Recalls, impeachments, votes of no confidence, dissolution of governments are common. Regular elections give way to temporary coalitions and emergency powers.
Depending upon the political education and will of the people, there may be a very passive takeover of power, or a violent revolution or a civil war.

New World Order
The old world is swept away and exists only as postcards. Some may talk of counter revolutions are a resistance, but it is whispered and futile as the modern state with its apparatus can track, distract and oppress with little difficulty. Just as the European powers were able to conquer the undeveloped world in the age of imperialism, the modern state can control the population with little mobilization. Financial transactions, biometrics and self censorship allow subjugation with ease.
