Episode 39: RK25 50 hour service - Don’t FORGET Mesh Screen

I’m nearly at 50 hours on this tractor and it’s time to do the maintenance. Get your supply list ready and check off everything before you start. You will need a tiny oil filter wrench to get the engine filter off. Maybe a leather glove or something that can help the filter tool grab on in a tight space.
Maintenance is necessary for equipment to be operating consistently. With the investment we have put into this tractor, oil and grease are cheap insurance.

Be sure that daily you grease the zerks, and check all lights are working

At 50 hours:
check and clean the air filter screen (and air filter)
change engine oil and filter
change front axle gear oil (SAE 80w/90)
change transmission filter, fluid
Clean out or change transmissions screen (remove driver side wheel)
tighten up bolts (they do tend to vibrate loose)
Paint the tips of your forks yellow. :)
Check air in your tires and check tires for any kind of damage.

UPDATE your manual -
fluid levels for transmission (3.7 gal), NOT 5.8
oil in engine (2.9 quart),
include transmission screen for cleaning or change,
update tractor grease points 2 in front center, 1 each under steps on sides. (PG E-15)
add TYM hydro-tran filter PN: 13152302100 (same for RK37)

RK says you must “***Maintain receipts or evidence that regular maintenance was performed per manufacturer prescribed intervals to maintain warranty eligibility.”

Did I miss anything?
