From the moment we are born to the moment we pass, we are breathing in oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide. In meditation, your breath and counting can be important. It helps you focus so your internal thoughts do not wander.
You simply connect to yourself by focusing on the in-and out-breath.
After your concentrated breathing, it is important to understand why certain thoughts came to you and why others did not. But you do not want to think about this during your in and out-breath.
This is something you can focus on after you are done with your concentrated breathing session.
Do not focus on negative thoughts. Do not give them life with your breathing. Focus on your positive breath and keep away negative thoughts that do not serve you.
I believe it is important for you to figure out why certain negative thoughts come to you during your meditation. This way you can find a way to make peace with them if they do not serve you.
It is your job to figure out how to deal with your inner demons and make peace. Your breathwork can help you with this over time.
The best part of doing your daily breathwork is that it is easy to spot those thoughts as they come to you. The bad thing about continuous thoughts is they come to you each day. Sometimes hundreds of times a day.
Through breathing, you can become loving awareness and have unconditional love for all, including yourself. You increase oxygen to all the different parts of your body. It helps you relax, reduce stress, and connect to the stillness inside you.
So many amazing things occur when you focus on clearing negative from the mind through breath.
Right now, take a deep breath in. Release the in-breath out, slowly.
