Happy Birthday, Baby (Jen)

35 years ago today, I was on board my ship U.S.S. Clark FFG-11, when I got the news you were born healthy and happy. I was the proudest 18 year old Seaman Recruit in Philadelphia and probably on the entire Eastern Seaboard. 4 days sooner, we could've celebrated both of our birthdays together. I Loved you so much then, and only have so much more now.

I am saddened that such a special day for us turned into a National Day of Sorrow, but You are that 1 bright ray of sunshine that clouds will never darken in my life. I love you, no matter where we are individually in life or what curveballs life throws at us.

I wish you the best day possible, where ever you are today and whatever you are doing. You hold my heart.
