Just before dawn on September 17th 1862 Hooker begins his attack on Lee's left, sending Rickets 1st Division into the cornfield, and beyond. Hooker is focused on the distant high ground containing the Dunker Church. On the other side of the cornfield lay Lawton's brigade. Will the Union be able to force the legendary Stonewall Jackson from the field and trap Lee's army on the north side of the Potomac?
