Friday's news headlines in a Liberty Minute.
After 542 days of "15 days to flatten the curve," President Biden laid out his six-point plan for fighting covid last night. His speech of iron-fisted government mandates and unproven propaganda warned that the fight will take more time.
The Secretary of Defense and the top military generals are slated to testify before the Senate Armed Forces Committee later this month about the pull-out from Afghanistan. That will probably be a useless endeavor.
The White House withdrew the nomination of David Chipman to lead the ATF. Good. He was a gun-grabber extraordinaire.
Congress is hard at work trying to fast-track Biden's $3.5 trillion spending bill through the reconciliation process. Five House committees have started the mark-up process. This is what Congress does best, spend your money with reckless abandon before they even have it.
