STUDY GUIDE

Man is made of three parts: spirit, soul, and body. We have allowed the spirit and body to have most of our attention. We need to put our focus on our souls because that is where our minds are found. Our mind has two functions. The first is to remember, which focuses on the past. The second is to imagine, which focuses on the future.

When we do not manage our minds properly, we conform to the world. How do we change our thoughts? Meditation on the Word of God renews our minds and allows the Word to lodge in our spirits.

Memory versus imagination. Focusing on our memory, our past, can keep us from entering into the good things that God has planned for us. The children of Israel could not enter the promised land because their thoughts about themselves were controlled by their past.

Your imagination works with your spirit. If you can imagine it, the power of God can accomplish it in your life. There are no limits to your imagination.

Our minds control the choices we make in our lives. When we renew our minds with the Word of God and allow our minds to imagine all the possibilities that God has for our lives, we will make choices that line up with God’s plan for our lives.

We can overcome trauma and difficult circumstances when we renew our minds with the Word and engage the imagination part of our minds.

When Adam sinned, the knowledge of God left the Earth and the knowledge of the tree entered the Earth. When we are redeemed, we have access to the knowledge of God. We enter into the plan God has for our lives when we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us in the knowledge of God.

The most valuable space on the planet is the six inches between our ears.
